Activities for Neighbouring Communities

These activities take place at the FS campus to benefit communities in and around Fatehganj. The beneficiaries are children and women who are financially and socially disadvantaged and are often uneducated. Children, 3 to 6 years old, come to Balwadi and participate in various activities which are aimed to supplement their education and develop healthy habits. Young people, many school-drop outs get opportunities to channel their energies and spend their time productively through the Youth Club activities. Women learn new skills and are educated on critical health and well-being topics. Sewing and embroidery products made by these women are sold at “Shaiyari” mela and the proceeds help them financially. Some of the students from the Faculties of Social Work and Home Science do their internships at FS, participate in activities and provide professional guidance. Library has around 7,000 books and many newspapers and periodicals.
