Since 1983 the motto, “It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you came from. The ability to triumph begins with you. Always”, has guided our program for encouraging women and young girls from nearby under-developed areas to learn new skills and be able to earn extra income to support their families. It also supports their educational and social development. On an average, about 30 women at a time benefit from this program. They pay a token fee every month They learn the art of applying Mehndi, beauty parlor skills, artificial jewelry making, beadwork, & fabric painting.

Besides the income generating skills, health and social awareness activities like discussions on health, hygiene, nutrition and family planning, education regarding managing the home and children are also organized. They have had talks on ‘Domestic Violence’ and legal remedies available to them, details of various government organizations & NGO’s working in this field, and facilities available to women from various government initiatives.

Picnics and special outings to places such as Rajasthan, Pavagadh, Ajwa, Nimeta, Kabirwad, Kamatibaug, etc. are often organized for these women to give them a break from their daily routine grind.
