“The nation walks on the tiny footsteps of its children,” Jawaharlal Nehru had said. With the aim of developing leadership qualities in children, this activity was started in 1971. The idea was to bring children from various schools together and involve them in training activities such as sessions on leadership and teamwork, and other activities that will help them in their all-round development.

Accompanied by FS volunteers, the school children are taken for out-station adventure camps in Deolali, Hindolgadh, Kutch, Narera near Jamnagar, Tejgarh, Sasan Gir, etc. where they go rock climbing, gliding, cross country treks, nature appreciation and similar outdoor activities. At the camp they are also engaged in intellectual activities like debating and cultural events. These camps help in enriching their personality and giving them an experience of how to live in a group with others. They also learn to be independent when they stay away from their homes and develop confidence in handling the outside world, besides having a whole lot of fun.

Inter school talent contests are a part of this group where children from different schools take part in events like folk dance, fancy dress, elocution, debates, and quiz contests. The Sanskar quiz contest was an annual event where children from more than 25 schools participated. Theatre workshop was also organized under the auspices of this group. Along the way, children with disabilities were included in these activities.
